With Cohort Two nearing its completion and Cohort Three set to begin shortly, the JENNÈS Upskilling Academy For Youth and Women Programme, sponsored by the Government of the Republic of China (Taiwan) continues to realize a number of successes.
The main purpose of the programme is to upskill youth and women so that they can participate positively in Saint Lucia’s economy.
The ultimate objective is to help these individuals develop skills that are immediately marketable, and give them access to job opportunities within these specific sectors.
The JENNÈS Project is a joint collaboration by The Taiwan Embassy of Saint Lucia, ICDF Taiwan, The Sir Arthur Lewis Community College, and The Government of Saint Lucia.
Initially launched with a virtual orientation ceremony on Friday, February 11 2022, the project attracted one hundred and thirty-four (134) participants enrolled in the various vocational programmes. Participants learnt about their programmes, received demonstrations on accessing the online learning platform, and had some of their queries addressed.
On Monday February 14, these participants attended a two week-long Digital Literacy for Professionals Training Workshop, prior to embarking on their studies for the coming three months.
